Coach Cochran and Coach Reeves discuss the season ahead
This spring, Coach Cochran began retooling a team that won nine games in its debut. The Rockets only return a couple of starters on both sides of the ball, but Coach Cochran and his staff are up for the challenge. On offense, Phillips Blair, a junior transfer from Woodberry Forest School in Virginia, will compete with junior Hunter Markham for the starting quarterback role. Whoever lands the job will head an offense draped with playmakers up and down the roster. On defense, Coach Cochran wants his athletes to be even tougher than last year. “I need speed and meanness out of them,” said Coach Cochran.
